Why does Remote Desktop on Vista say Windows 7 password is incorrect?

Question

I am trying to connect to windows 7 ultimate machine from my vista laptop, i am able to connect to where it asks for credentials..but it wont accept my password(which is confirmed to be correct). The only way is to connect through Guest which does not require a password, this way it works, but i have limited access with the guest account. Does anyone know how to fix this? My Windows 7 is RTM Ultimate Build 7600

you totally failed, you can only log into the Guest account remotely

to your lovley windows 7 AS you did not setup the access list for the remote users. you need to add your user name to the remote users list. this can be done by start - control panel - system - remote - select users. once you add your username life will be more easy, peace niga.

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. The only way to reset your windows password 100% safe is to use a software called Reset Password Pro.
